Built in the 16th Century, a golden age in Burgos which grew wealthy from the rich wool trade with England, the Palace has recently been restored to a very high standard.
All rooms are exceptionally spacious and decorated in the latest style making good use of the architectural details of the original palace.

Teeming with bars and restaurants and always lively - don't miss out on the Morcilla de Burgos (black pudding) or the local lamb, said to be the best in Spain and with local Ribera del Duero wines to wash it all down with. Museo de la Evolución Humana
The importance and magnitude of the archaeological dig in the Atapuerca Mountains (20km away), a World Heritage Site, has put Burgos back in the map and with it its Museum of Human Evolution. Well worth a visit.
