Restaurant
The stone arcades of the dining hall in this imposing castle transport you back to the Middle Ages, while you enjoy breathtaking views of the Charro countryside. At the table, alongside the finest Guijuelo ham, you can savour some of the most popular dishes, including free-range eggs topped with Iberian ham and potatoes, farinato with slow-cooked egg yolk and potatoes, roast lamb leg, and grilled Moorish beef sirloin.
The restaurant at the Parador de Ciudad Rodrigo is a true showcase of local gastronomy, where the highlights are Iberian pork and Moorish beef. It offers a refined take on traditional cuisine, featuring flavourful sausages, succulent roasts, and the finest acorn-fed Guijuelo ham. And, of course, no visit would be complete without tasting the city's signature dish: farinato, a unique sausage made from breadcrumbs, lard, and spices.
