A delightful seaside town, Hondarribia has a well-preserved old town and lively fisherman's quarter as well as a marina and a sandy beach and is a wonderful base to discover this delightful region.
San Sebastian and the charming valleys of the Navarran Pyrenees are just nearby, or hop over the border to the French Pays Basque to discover the charms of Biarritz, St Jean de Luz and the picture-postcard villages inland. And don't miss the train to the top of Larrun, the westernmost mountain of the Pyrenees, for spectacular views of the Bay of Biscay and the mountains.
