Llivia is a municipality in the province of Girona that became isolated from the rest of Spanish territory as a result of the Treaty of the Pyrenees in 1659 and the Treaty of Llivia (12 November 1660). As a town of great significance due to its location and the fortress that overlooks the entire valley and its entry points.
Set in a charming old farmhouse, this family-run hotel offers all the tranquillity of a rural environment with fantastic views, a swimming pool and easy access to the lovely and historic town of Llivia, only a few minutes walking to the town centre.
The building, a large stone country house, has the reception and restaurant located on the ground floor, while the upper floors feature twenty spacious rooms that are tastefully furnished in a modern style.
Right by the entrance, there's a spacious on-site car park, a garden, and a swimming pool. At the back of the building, you'll find a peaceful terrace with access to the town. The hotel also preserves the old barn, "Cochera" along with the tractor, which is still in use today.
Not far from the hotel is located the Museum of History of Llivia (with the remains of the oldest pharmacy in Europe) the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de los Angeles (a church built with defensive pourposes) and on top of the hill over the town, the castle that made Llivia a strategic defensive town.
Llivia is an excellent base for visiting nearby Andorra and exploring the Cerdanya region.
