Overview
Not your typical spa-hotel, the Monasterio de Valbuena is set in a beautifully preserved 12th-century Cistercian monastery right on the famous ‘Golden Mile’ of the Duero Valley, the heart of the Ribera del Duero wine region.
The luxurious 5-star hotel is committed to sustainability, featuring a green energy supply, an organic kitchen garden, and its own vineyards and the renovation project won accolades for faithfully restoring the monastery to its original magnificence.
The outdoor infinity pool is discretely built into the landscape whilst the Clarins Spa uses thermal waters and has 16 treatment rooms, thermal pools, Jacuzzis, and a heated outdoor pool for guests to enjoy.
The hotel couldn’t be better positioned to explore the wine region and discover historic Valladolid, just 40 minutes’ drive away.
