Located right at the foot of the impressive cliff-face of the Montsant Massif with the Priorat vineyards rolling out below, this simple, yet cosy, hotel offers plenty of hiking opportunities straight from the door and a stunning view from every window.
A tranquil paradise for walkers and wine lovers alike, the hotel is well known for its restaurant, with a shady terrace offering an ample choice of local wines and the same stunning views.
Though small, the village of La Morera sits at the northernmost point of the Priorat basin at the best access point for the Montsant mountains and boasts a handful of restaurants as well as an impressive, outdoor, public pool right next to the hotel – a real asset after a hot days hike!
The friendly owners are happy to help with local information, hikes, and places to visit. Siurana, Scala Dei, or Cornudella are nearby and are a must on your list.
The hotel has 8 rooms, all simply decorated yet light and spacious with amazing views, consisting of:
3 standard double / twin rooms, 1 standard room with balcony, 2 superior rooms, 2 superior rooms with balcony.
Double are 150cm or 180cm, twin beds are 90cm each.
Decoration is simple and rural but with nice touches and local mountain photography. All rooms are en-suite and have bedside tables and desks.

La Morera del Montsant is a small town located at the northernmost point of Catalonia’s famous Priorat wine region.
Nestled tightly at the base of cliff-face of the impressive Montsant mountains, with the rolling vineyards spread out below, this quiet village is the perfect base for hikers, wine lovers or anyone looking for a peaceful get-away with stunning views.
Walkers will find different levels of trails right from the hotel door or within a short drive, and the village is also a good base for mountain bikers, birdwatchers and history lovers – or just to get out and explore the fascinating region of Priorat!
The village is surrounded by vineyards and the Scaladei winery, where the Priorat story began, as well as Gratallops, where the latest era got kicked off, are only a few kilometres away.
Though small, due to its privileged position as the entry point to the mountains, La Morera has a nice handful of bars and restaurants and an outdoor public swimming pool with spectacular views.
Aside from the hikes you can do, not far from the village you can also find the Santa Maria de Monasteries of Scaladei and Bonrepós and the lovely villages of Poboleda and Siurana, not to be missed!
