Built in the early 20th century with a new wing added recently in total harmony with the original style, the hotel is set in beautifully kept grounds and offers peace and tranquillity and lovely views out across the lake.
Perhaps the best place to enjoy the views is from the hotel's own renowned restaurant which serves local specialities. And for simpler fare you have plenty more choice in the town centre just nearby.
The location just 2km from the French border and 15minutes from the ski-slopes makes this the perfect base to discover Cerdanya at the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees, head south into the Sierra de Cadí-Moixero or dip into France or even Andorra.
Rooms are located in the main house, the tower or the new Volart building.
All rooms are en-suite and tastefully decorated and come with flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with bathrobes, slippers and free toiletries.
Superior rooms in the Volart building are more spacious and have direct access to the garden or, on the first floor, wonderful views over the garden and lake.
Deluxe rooms in the tower are also more spacious and have wonderful views.

There are plenty of other eateries within a short walk in the town centre.
Strategically placed right on the French border, just 2km from Bourg-Madam Puigcerdá is the perfect base to explore Cerdanya, at the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees as well as
Andorra with the Cadí-Moixero Nature Park.
Though the mountains are the main attraction the town itself is lively and offers an authentic experience of Catalan life and culture.
