Overview

In the same family for generations, this delightful house, standing in very well kept grounds, has been beautifully restored and furnished to make a very comfortable country hotel whilst maintaining many original features and artefacts. You will find total peace and quiet here, the hotel being set in deep countryside, yet you're only a short drive away from beautiful beaches, including the famous Playa de las Catedrales. The interesting fishing ports of Viveiro and Ribadeo are within easy reach and the famous ceramic factory at Sargadelos is just around the corner. Ana, who is an excellent cook, and her husband Manuel, will make you more than welcome and make sure you live the true Galician experience, whether it be warming yourself by the traditional 'lar' stone fireplace, relaxing in the porch or garden or enjoying one of their delicious breakfasts or dinners. Most their produce is homemade, most of the ingredients coming from their own farm.

Accommodation details

The hotel has nine bedrooms all of which have ensuite bathrooms and T.V.:

2 Superior double rooms. These rooms are in an annex a short distance from the main house and have a private porch/terrace overlooking the garden and an individual entrance. 180cm wide double bed and large bathroom
5 Special double rooms. Special rooms have a lounge / veranda area with wide views of the garden and countryside. 150cm double bed or two 105cm beds.
2 Standard double rooms. 150cm double bed.

One room is adapted for people with reduced mobility. Extra bed - An extra bed can be added to the special and superior rooms.

Senra North Spain

Senra is a tiny farming hamlet set in deep countryside in the municipality of Cervo on the Costa Lucense in the northernmost part of Galicia. It is very near the famous royal ceramic workshop and showroom of Sargadelos - the stunning blue and white of this pottery and its original designs make it well worth a visit. It is 6 kms to the coast and fantastic sandy beaches, including the blue flag, Playa A Marosa at Burela, a thriving fishing port - well known for its special "bonito Principe Azul" - (tuna fish) which you can try at its many bars and restaurants.

The interesting medieval town of Viveiro is 18 kilometres away and the dramatically placed Ribadeo, sitting above the estuary of the Rio Eo and the number one beach in Spain "Praia As Catedrais" just a little bit further.Walking

Beaches - nearest ones are Playa Rueta, Playa O Torno and blue flag beach Playa A Marosa at Burela. A bit further away is Spain's "best beach" - Praia As Catedrais.
