Set around two magnificent cloisters the 16th century Franciscan convent of Santa Clara is today the Parador de Trujillo.
The main, original cloister boasts fine Renaissance columns and arches, and connects with the dining room which is set in the chapel vaulted ceiling. The second building is more modern in style with rooms set around a delightful courtyard.
Whether you prefer to sunbathe by the swimming pool or relax in the shady, cloistered courtyards and cool cosy lounges inside, the Parador offers the perfect escape from the heat of Extremadura.
Located in the historic centre of Trujillo a stone's throw from the Playa Mayor with the famous statue of Francisco Pizarro and the church of San Mart?-n de Tours, the Parador is the perfect base to discover the land of the Conquistadores - the adventurers who conquered Latin America in the 15th Century.
