Antonio Cortijo - alias 'Toño'
Customer Service & Travel Designer

The youngest and most recent addition to the Caminos team, Antonio already has a lifetime in tourism behind him - though that’s not why we call him “grandad”…
Raised in a small village in the Pyrenees, where his family ran one of the region’s pioneering boutique hotels, he grew up surrounded by travellers and the rhythms of hospitality. Starting at an early age and later managing the food and beverage side of the business, he quickly developed a natural passion for the industry.
After studying Hotel Management, Antonio travelled further afield, gaining experience in places such as Taiwan and Mexico before returning convinced that Spain is one of the most complete destinations a traveller could hope to explore. When the family hotel eventually passed into new hands, he joined the Caminos team, bringing with him valuable first-hand knowledge of both the region and the industry.
Outside work, Antonio enjoys travelling around Spain, mountain biking in the hills, experimenting in the kitchen and, of course, discovering good wine.
*tip: “Some of the finest bars in Spain are found in mountain refuges, after a good hike, there’s nothing quite like a pint enjoyed at the summit.” – Antonio Cortijo, travel (and beer) enthusiast.
