Our Hotels
Hand-picked hotels for the discerning traveller
Pensiones and Posadas to Paradors and Palaces
Our selected hotels, and their owners, form the bedrock of our touring programme. With a selection of over 300 charming hotels throughout Spain and Portugal, each with its own individual character, our expert team have all they need to compose delightful itineraries to suit every taste and budget.
From charming, independent guest houses to luxurious Paradors and palaces, we select the best hotels for each location. Talk to us and we will recommend the perfect property to suit your requirements.
Transparency is our watchword, so you can see full details of the suggested hotels in the itinerary section of each tour both on our website and in the quotation document you’ll receive with your personalised proposal.
If you don’t see what you’re looking for or have a particular hotel in mind for a certain location please ask. We’re happy to make bespoke arrangements though, in general we prefer to work with the hotels we know and trust.
We've got quite a range to choose from...
Small is beautiful...
In Spain and Portugal we are blessed with a large selection of small, stylish, independent hotels, charming guest houses, and boutique accommodation, where often the owner is in charge and personal service is the priority.
Highly individual and, we hope you’ll agree, charming - all are inspected by our local expert team and selected for their location, style and customer care.
We have a long tradition of working with smaller establishments, with owners who really care about their guests and have a passion for the areas and communities in which they live and work, and we believe that they add another dimension to the journey - whilst at the same time keeping things affordable!
Here are a few to give you a taste...
Paradors and Palaces
For a special treat, or should you require more facilities, we have an excellent selection of larger 4 and 5-star hotels, including many from the Parador Group, with whom we are longstanding partners. As with our smaller hotels most are housed in heritage properties though some are featured because of their avant-garde modern architecture.
Though some of our high-end hotels are selected for their ‘wow’ factor, in cities or for those travelling as a group, we’ll often recommend a 4 or 5-star heritage hotel in order to guarantee a good level of service and facilities.

Practical information
Breakfast is always included, and indeed the quality of the breakfast is a priority when assessing any establishment. For other meals every hotel you’ll stay in will either have their own restaurant (or offer an evening meal), or there will be options to dine out within easy walking distance.
All rooms are ensuite.
All hotels have Wi-Fi, at least in the common areas.
Air-conditioning, whilst not common in the northern hotels (which are generally old buildings with thick stone walls), is usually offered in those further south – please check individual hotels or ask our team if this facility is important to you.
Parking varies from hotel to hotel. In rural locations and smaller towns hotels generally offer on-site parking. In cities you may have to pay locally (most often it’s not possible to book and pay in advance) and sometimes the arrangement will be to use a secure public carpark nearby, but you can always drive to the door and leave bags at the reception. If parking is a particular concern – if you’re bringing a special or classic car or motorbike let our expert team know and we’ll select hotels accordingly.
For a little more detail on the hotels click on ‘View Accommodation Options ’ in the Itinerary section of any particular tour and you’ll see the hotels we offer in that particular itinerary which you can review in detail.
