This historic XIV-XV century hotel is set in the old town of Hondarribia and enjoys splendid views across the Txingudi estuary to France and the start of the Pyrenees.

A delightful seaside town, Hondarribia has a well-preserved old town and lively fisherman's quarter as well as a marina and a sandy beach and is a wonderful base to discover this delightful region.

San Sebastian and the charming valleys of the Navarran Pyrenees are just nearby, or hop over the border to the French Pays Basque to discover the charms of Biarritz, St Jean de Luz and the picture-postcard villages inland. And don't miss the train to the top of Larrun, the westernmost mountain of the Pyrenees, for spectacular views of the Bay of Biscay and the mountains.

On the southern bank of the Bidasoa river which forms the border with France Hondarribia has throughout history enjoyed a strategic position.

Nowadays the same position makes it the perfect base to discover the Basque coast and border region with San Sebastian just 20km away, The French Pais Basque within walking distance and the Pyrenees just a short drive.

The town itself has a nice beach, a lovely Old Town and a lively fisherman's quarter with plenty bars serving pintxos and txakoli – not to mention some of the finest restaurants in the Basque country!
