Casona de Indias*
HHUE1, Huentes, North Spain
Country guesthouse with spectacular mountain views
Built in 1887, this fine Indiano house, at one time lived in by the village priest, was lovingly and beautifully restored ten years ago, keeping many of its original features, yet accommodating to modern needs, to make a very comfortable guesthouse.
In the farming hamlet of Huentes, up in the hills, with spectacular views of the Sierra del Sueve and the Picos de Europa beyond, it is right in the heart of cider country and in the nature reserve of the Sierra del Sueve.
In half an hour you have a choice of fantastic beaches or the wonders of the Picos mountains and just a bit further are the lively and interesting cities of Oviedo, Gijon and Aviles.
The young, enthusiastic owners, Maria (Danish) and Adam (English) and their family, are very welcoming and attentive hosts and will ensure you have a lovely stay.

The guesthouse has six, good sized, comfortably and attractively furnished twin and double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. These are distributed between the first floor and the attic floor, all with lovely views. All rooms have hairdryers.
